In order to rock your short hair, you need to start with a super flattering haircut. And that isn't always easy. Let's start with straight hair.

Rihanna is pretty much the best example for straight hair. She started the craze of the bob again, now there's...well...this. It's easy enough to do with any hair type if you have time. I don't, and I have curly hair, so this is what I do.

Obviously that's not me, but that's pretty much my hair, to sum it up. Since straight long hair was in, I chopped mine off and jacked the layers so I have a crazy curly bob, which, when straightened, looks super cool. Ive had side bangs and full bangs, but the great thing about short hair is if you part them to the sides, you have no bangs.

More pictures and more article to come soon, but since you have to decide how to cut your hair, I can give you styling tips later.

Nu rave is an easy enough style. But be prepared to stop traffic and turn some heads.

1. Wear neon colors

Lucky for you, neon is the in thing this season, so you'll have no trouble finding neon accessories.

2. Go for the eighties

If your mom says she wore it when she was younger, it's probably nu rave. Legwarmers, big glasses, dancewear, cutouts, you name it. Go for the gold and wear it all at once.

3. Wear over the top makeup

Go crazy with eyeliner, glitter, eyeshadow, and anything else you can find. The more extravagant the better. Nu rave is not about being shy.

For more, go to nurave.blogspot.com. I give them props!
